What Bowling ball To Throw And Why?

What ball do you throw now and why? What made you choose the ball you picked? What ball was your best ball you ever had? And do you change balls when one isn't working?

Storm Diablo I have 2 bowling balls that I currently use:

1) A Storm Hot Wire for the Drier conditions I face in my Monday night league. This ball is polished to reduce friction and go longer before the break right to the pocket. Highlight with this ball was a 289 game

2) A Track Phenom Unleashed for Medium-Heavy conditions. Dulled to 600 grit to bite into the oil for a nice reaction in backends. Highlight with this ball was my only 700 series.

3) A Lane 1 Buzzsaw/C used for medium oil. Only particle ball I own and have not used it in a long time. Highlight with this ball was 4 consecutive 600 series, which I had never done before. This ball was given to me by my ball driller and was a used two owner bowling ball (sounds like a used car).

I eventually plan on losing the Buzzsaw and getting a Storm Fired Up or a Storm Diablo. 9stepper has a Fired Up and I like the way the ball reacts.
As far as best ball goes, I don't think the ball makes that much difference, it's the person using it. What works for me, may not for you, kind of like a beauty contest. You like this broad, I like that one.
Do I switch balls during games ? Sometimes but most of the time I'll make a HUGE adjustment first....i.e. Move 5, 7, or 10 boards right (Lefty) then move back left till I get where I want to be.

My buddy currently uses 3 balls, but only 2 are "strike" balls... (this is what he says)

1) My lead ball is the new X-Factor Ace I got last August. I set the ball up to go long and hit hard, and that's exactly what it does. So far in only 7 months of bowling with it I have a high of 279 and 3 700's (750-738-733). I love the reaction of the ball and I think you could set it up to do almost anything. Currently I'm at 209 for avg. with this ball.

2) My 2nd ball is the original Thunder Road from 1997. This is the ball I shot my only 300 and 800 series with (827). It's my safety net and I really don't want to get rid of it, but I know I'll have to sooner or later. my highest average with this ball was 210.

There is some pretty helpful information on the right balls to use in the Bowling For Dummies, there is a small price for it, but it's well worth it in my opinion.
